“Our investment in MapTrack paid off in a big way when a couple of pieces of test equipment, valued at over $142,000 AUD, was stolen during a break-in at an employee's home. Thanks to MapTrack, we were able to give police the exact location of the asset, even guiding them over the phone as they executed the search warrant. This led them directly to the equipment, which was recovered within 48 hours.”

Hand tools and power tools
Attach to drills, grinders, and saws. Any nearby BLE gateway tracker auto-detects and reports them, creating a live tool inventory.
Safety harnesses and gas detectors
Tag personal safety gear so you know which harnesses are on-site, which are in the crib room, and which are due for inspection.
Pallets, crates, and bins
Low-cost beacon tags on pallets and bins. Gateway trackers detect what is on-site and what has left the yard without manual scanning.
Laptops and portable electronics
Adhesive mount sticks to device casings. Track IT equipment across offices, meeting rooms, and hot desks with 120-metre range.
Hospital wheelchairs and infusion pumps
Compact 38mm beacon tags medical equipment without adding bulk. Gateway devices in corridors create zone-level visibility across wards.
HVAC gauges, leak detectors, and instruments
Tag manifold gauge sets, electronic leak detectors, and gas analysers. Any nearby BLE gateway tracker reports which instruments are on which van or job site.
Electrical test equipment and meters
Attach to multimeters, cable testers, RCD testers, and insulation resistance meters. Gateway detects which test instruments are in the workshop, on a van, or at a job.
Plumbing tools and fittings kits
Low-cost beacon tags on pipe cutters, threaders, B-press heads, and fittings kits. Gateway trackers detect what left the depot and what came back without manual checking.
About the E5 Beacon
The E5 Location Beacon is the go-to BLE tag for extending your MapTrack tracking coverage to smaller assets and indoor environments. Attach an E5 to tools, safety equipment, pallets, or portable electronics, and any MapTrack GPS tracker with a Bluetooth gateway (Oyster Edge, Oyster BLE, Remora3, G70 BLE, Dart3) will automatically detect and report its proximity. This hub-and-spoke model lets you track hundreds of items using a handful of cellular GPS devices. The E5 transmits on BLE 5.0 with a configurable broadcast interval, delivering 5+ years of battery life with a range of up to 120 metres in open areas. Compatible with iOS 7.0+ and Android 4.3+.
