What can I customise on my asset labels?

You control the label size (35 x 17 mm, 25 x 50 mm or 35 x 65 mm), your company logo and name, a "Property Of" header, an asset ID prefix and number, a return-if-found phone number, the QR code destination (any URL or text), the accent border colour, and whether to show the "Tracked by MapTrack.com" attribution. What file formats can I download?

You can export a 300 DPI PNG (ideal for digital use or sending to a printer) and a print-ready PDF on A4 with crop marks for accurate cutting. You can also copy a shareable design link so a colleague can open the exact same design, or copy the design as JSON. PNG and PDF are both rendered at true print resolution, not screen resolution.

Will the QR codes actually scan, and what do they link to?

Yes. The generated QR codes scan with any modern phone camera, no app required. By default the code points to a MapTrack asset record, but you can encode any URL or text you like, so the code can open your own asset page, a maintenance form, or a contact page. We recommend testing a printed sample with a few different phones before ordering a full batch.

Can I print these labels myself?

Yes. Download the print-ready PDF or 300 DPI PNG and print on any printer or label stock you already use. Just be realistic about durability: standard paper or office label sheets fade, smudge, and peel outdoors or in workshops, wash bays, and mine sites. For assets that live in the field, order printed polycarbonate labels that survive UV, abrasion, and chemicals for five years or more.

How durable are printed MapTrack labels?

Standard MapTrack online labels are hard-laminated polycarbonate or polyester with a 3M industrial adhesive backing, printed in full colour with your logo and a unique QR code. They are built for harsh Australian conditions and resist UV, scratching, water and common site chemicals. See sizes and volume pricing for full specifications. Aluminium, stainless steel and steel asset tags are available by quote when a rollout needs metal, holes or specialist mounting. Minimum online order is 100 labels per size, with volume pricing in AUD as quantities increase.
