PERIODIC INSPECTION
Frequency: 3-monthly (typical) - adjust per AS 3775.2 based on usage rate
Important: Any lifting gear that fails inspection must be immediately removed from service, tagged as defective and quarantined. Do not attempt to repair chain slings, wire rope slings or synthetic slings. Condemned items must be destroyed to prevent re-use.

6+ broken wires in one rope lay
3+ broken wires in a single strand
